Microsoft pulls Windows 10 October 2018 Update….
Oct 09, 2018
As of October 6th Microsoft has pulled Windows 10 October 2018 update, temporarily. This comes after several users reported documents were deleted after the upgrade. There were also reports of Microsoft Edge and the App store not having connectivity after the update has been applied. For safety Microsoft pulled the latest update, that they were expecting to roll out to all devices on the coming Tuesday as investigations have been performed and claims of deleted data has, in fact, been validated.
“We have paused the rollout of the Windows 10 October 2018 Update (version 1809) for all users as we investigate isolated reports of users missing some files after updating,” says Microsoft on its support site for Windows Update.
At this time Microsoft has not announced how many users were effected, however they have used terminology such as “Isolated” to make it sound minimal.
